The Quality Analytical Development Specialist is responsible for activities related to the maintenance of analytical standards, quality master data, and methodologies used to enable Agropur laboratories to operate efficiently in Canada and the United States.
This position is temporary for a duration of 12 months.

Salary range 005: $82,600 to $103,200 (The base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)
What’s involved in this role:
Optimizing analysis plans based on food matrices, using appropriate methods and frequencies. Where possible, developing common standards (calibrations, methods, or know-how) to standardize and minimize operational complexity.
Participating in the maintenance, collection, and quality of master data for the quality function and the analytical sector of laboratories in SAP.
Collaborating to resolve issues related to master data, quality design configuration, and quality functionalities in SAP.
Acting as a technical expert for Agropur plants to evaluate opportunities, recommend, and implement the most appropriate methods and technologies based on product type and cost-benefit ratio.
Finding new analytical technologies and coordinating validation plans for methods/equipment to implement new analyses in Agropur laboratories.
Optimizing laboratory instrumentation in Agropur plants by minimizing measurement discrepancies to maximize company benefits.
Conducting regular field visits to convey best laboratory practices, implement new analytical standards, and help plants achieve their performance goals. In some cases, conducting internal and external audits of plants or laboratories.
Participating in maintaining quality, safety, and food security requirements.
Contributing to the execution of validation activities, including creating plans, coordinating validation work, and writing summary reports.
What you need to join our team:
Bachelor's degree in microbiology, chemistry or other relevant field.
2 to 5 years experience in the food or packaging industry.
Knowledge in NIR technologies and ability to repair instruments.
Agility in mathematics and statistics.
Excellent command of Excel and Microsoft Office.
Available for frequent travel in Canada and the United States.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, in French and English. (English required to work with colleagues in other Canadian provinces).
