Senior eCommerce Tester

Job Description

Experience: 8+ years in software testing / quality assurance with strong B2C eCommerce domain experience.

Shopify: Strong hands-on experience testing Shopify or Shopify Plus applications.

OMS & SAP : Experience in any Order Management system and SAP Testing (O2C, P2P)

End-to-End Testing: Experience validating complex commerce journeys across storefront, OMS, ERP, APIs, mobile apps, and third-party integrations.

Automation: Experience in Automation scripts preparation using Automation tools like Tosca/Appium.

QA Practices: Strong knowledge of test scenario creation, test case design, test data, defect reporting, retesting, regression testing, Cross browser testing and release validation.

Tools: Hands-on experience with Jira and relevant test management and API testing tools.

Communication: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, client communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Work Flexibility: Should be able to support in US time zone. Flexible to support global stakeholders, multi-country releases, deployment windows, and production activities.

Experience working in distributed delivery models across Onsite, Nearshore, and Offshore teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

Functional Testing: Perform functional, integration, system, smoke, sanity, regression, UAT, and production validation testing for Shopify applications.

Test Design: Review requirements and create detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data, regression suites, and requirement traceability.

Customer Journey Validation: Validate product discovery, search, navigation, product details, cart, checkout, payments, taxes, customer accounts, promotions, loyalty, orders, cancellations, returns, and refunds.

Integration Testing: Validate end-to-end data flows between Shopify, Salesforce OMS, SAP, search platforms, payment gateways, tax engines, CRM, shipping, mobile applications, and third-party services.

Multi-Country Testing: Test country-specific currencies, taxes, payment methods, shipping rules, pricing, promotions, localization, and regional configurations.

OMS Functional Testing: Own QA activities for any OMS capabilities including order orchestration, order routing, fulfillment, cancellation, returns, refunds, order status, inventory allocation, and exception handling.

Downstream SAP Integration Testing: Validate order, customer, pricing, tax, payment, invoice, fulfillment, refund, and financial posting flows from Salesforce OMS to SAP or related ERP/back-office systems.

3PL and Fulfillment Testing: Validate integration flows with warehouse, logistics, carrier, shipment tracking, delivery confirmation, return pickup, and fulfillment status updates from third-party logistics providers.

Test Management: Plan and track test execution using Jira and any test management tools such as qTest, Xray, TestRail, Zephyr, or Azure DevOps.

Defect Management: Report defects with clear evidence and business impact; participate in triage, retest fixes, track closure, and perform regression impact validation.

Release Support: Provide QA status, risks, blockers, defect metrics, release readiness inputs, production sanity testing, and hypercare support.

Automation and AI: Identify Regression suites for automation and contribute to automation and AI-assisted testing approaches for improved coverage and efficiency.

Mobile Testing: Validate responsive web and mobile application journeys across supported browsers, devices, iOS, and Android where applicable.

Work directly with US business users, product owners, solution architects, and development teams.

Participate in requirement clarification workshops and user acceptance testing support sessions.

Be available for critical issue investigation and resolution support during major releases.
