Our Rogers Finance team is at the core of our organization, supporting all our projects across every line of business. The Senior Financial Analyst will be accountable for consolidation of RCI subscribers, performance management, market analysis, and continuous improvement on current processes. This includes, but not limited to, day-to-day subscriber updates, weekly performance, key liaison with the business and Finance on forecast/budget targets and providing key insights from data analysis.
The position will report directly to Senior Manager of forecasting and analytics. The ideal candidate is a curious and strategic thinker who enjoys solving complex business problems through data. They are comfortable operating at both the executive and analytical level, balancing big-picture thinking with exceptional attention to detail. They continuously look for better ways to forecast performance, embrace feedback and coaching, and build strong partnerships across the organization to drive meaningful business outcomes
What you'll be doing:
• Work with cross functional business and finance partners to provide accurate and timely actual and forecast/budget targets
• Manage all RCI wireless subscriber metrics by brand and segment
• Build, maintain and improve complex Excel models for subscriber reporting
• Develop and maintain subscriber forecasts with extensive integration to key reporting frameworks (internal and external)
• Develop and continuously evolve forecasting methodologies by identifying new data sources, challenging assumptions, leveraging advanced analytics, and recommending innovative approaches that improve forecast accuracy and business decision-making.
• Translate analytical findings into clear business narratives and executive-ready recommendations that support strategic decision-making
• Create scorecards and month-end reports for senior leadership team
• Help align the S&OP process to provide visibility across subscriber forecasts, hardware demand planning, and inventory implications
• Ad-hoc analysis on regional and national performance, market and competition results, and business decision support
What you bring:
• 3-5 years of experience in analytic roles demonstrating an ability to derive actionable insights.
• Knowledge of telecom industry is a plus
• Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics. CPA/CA Designation and/or Master’s degree is considered an asset
• Advanced Excel skills including large-scale data analysis and modelling
• Experience querying and manipulating data using SQL, building dashboards and visualizations using Power BI
• Exposure to Databricks, Python, or other analytical tools used for forecasting and predictive analysis an asset
• Solid organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and adaptable to a changing environment to provide results
• Proficient in statistics and business/financial analysis
• Good work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and with teams
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Demonstrate the ability to move seamlessly between high-level business strategy and detailed analysis, translating complex data into actionable insights while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and consistently delivers high-quality work while managing competing priorities and tight planning, forecasting, and reporting deadlines
• Builds strong cross-functional relationships and works collaboratively with business partners to understand challenges, influence decisions, and drive business outcomes
• Demonstrates a growth mindset, openness to coaching and feedback, and a desire to build long-term expertise and career progression within the team and organization
