Junior Civil Engineer (eit) - Transportation - May 2027

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Junior Civil Engineer-in- training (EIT) to join our growing Transportation division in Kamloops, BC starting May 2027 or after graduation. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about transportation design, construction, and project delivery, and who wants to contribute to community-shaping infrastructure projects across the BC Interior and Western Canada. You’ll work alongside senior engineers, technologists, and designers to deliver projects ranging from municipal roadways and provincial highway design and rehabilitation to active transportation infrastructure and intersection improvements. This role is not fully remote and requires regular collaboration with the local team, client meetings, and project activities.

What You’ll Do 

• Supporting the design and analysis of roadway, intersection, and other transportation projects in rural and urban environments.
• Preparing horizontal and vertical alignments, cross‑sections, grading, and design details using Civil 3D.
• Assistingwith the preparation of technical memos, design reports, cost estimates, and tender packages.
• Completing construction supervision and contract administration in support of project delivery in the field. Including project management, construction survey, and materials inspection asrequired.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams acrossBritish Columbiaand Western Canada.
• Contributing to proposals, project coordination, and client communication as your experience grows.
  

What You’ll Bring 

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineeringfrom an accredited institution.
• Relevant engineering experience.
• Eligibility for registration as an EITwith Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
• Familiarity withBC Ministry of Transportation and Transit and/or municipal transportationdesign and construction standards is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from senior mentors.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to conduct occasional field work.

What Can We Offer You?

The salary range for this position is$60,000 - $80,000 per annum.
