Howyou’ll make an impact 

As astudent employee inHumanResources(HR),you'llgain hands-on experience supporting a variety of HR activities while developing a foundational understanding ofhowHRfunctionsacross FCC.You'llwork closely with HR professionals,employeesand leaders, contributing to processes that support the employee experience from hire to departure.

You'llbe part of the team that delivers HR services and support across the organization. Working alongside HR Partners and other HR team members,you'llhelp ensure employees and leaders receiveaccurate,timelyand professional support while learning how HR programs and processes contribute to organizational success.

Whatyou'lldo

  • Support HR processes and activities throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employeechangesand offboarding

  • Work closely with HR Partners and other HR team members to provide administrative and operational support

  • Respond to employee and leader inquiries and help connect them with theappropriate HRresources and information

  • Assistwithmaintainingemployee records, documentation and HR systems while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy

  • Support HR projects,reportingand process improvement initiatives

  • Coordinate meetings, prepare correspondence andassistwith the administration of HR programs and activities

  • Contribute to a positive employee experience through excellent customer service andtimelysupport

  • Assistwith workforce planning and talent-related activities asrequired

Whatyou’llbring to the team

Required qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled ina bachelor's degree or diploma program inbusinessadministration,commerce,humanresourcesor a related field

  • Strong interest in Human Resources and employee experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability tomaintainconfidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel,Outlookand PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previousexperience in customer service, administration, HR support or office environments through work,volunteeror academic experiences

  • Knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices or employee lifecycle processes gained through coursework or practical experience

  • Experience working with multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Bilingualism (English and French)is an asset
