Commercial Property Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager to oversee the daily operations, tenant relations, lease compliance and financial performance of company-owned and third-party managed commercial properties.

Reporting to the Director of Commercial Properties & Leasing, the successful candidate will ensure efficient property operations, maintain strong tenant and owner relationships, and support the growth of our third-party property management business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, inspections, maintenance, work orders and vendor performance.
• Respond to tenant inquiries, resolve concerns and maintain positive tenant relationships.
• Support third-party property owner communications and reporting.
• Monitor lease obligations, expiries, renewals and tenant compliance.
• Coordinate lease documentation and support lease negotiations and renewals as required.
• Assist with operating budgets, expense monitoring, cost recoveries and accounts receivable follow-up.
• Prepare monthly financial, property management reports, budget updates and operational summaries for internal management and property owners.

• Review property expenses, operating cost recoveries and financial performance.

• Support accounts receivable follow-up and help address outstanding balances.

• Coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance and capital improvement projects
• Support new property onboarding and consistent management processes.
• Work with Finance, Maintenance, Property Administration and other departments to ensure effective property management

Qualifications and Experience

• Post-secondary education in Property Management, Business Administration, Real Estate or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–4 years of experience in commercial property management, preferably managing multiple properties.
• Strong knowledge of commercial leases, property operations, budgeting and operating cost recoveries.
• Experience with property management software, preferably Yardi.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with tenants, property owners, vendors and internal stakeholders.
