About CBRE

Would you like to work at the World’s largest commercial real estate brokerage and a Fortune 500 company? Do you want to expand your knowledge while working on a high-performing team alongside the industry’s best talent? If so, we want to hear from you!

Few companies are as dynamic as CBRE. Few industries are more exciting than commercial real estate. If you are looking to make an impact, have fun and build your career, this is the opportunity for you!

Be a part of the industry that shapes our cities and our lives.

About You
  • You are creative and eager to deliver high-quality solutions. You bring ideas rather than wait for a brief.
  • You keep up to date with latest marketing and brand trends.
  • You thrive on detail-oriented work and have stellar time management skills.
  • You are a self-motivated individual who collaborates effectively in team settings.
  • You are proactive and able to be flexible as work priorities change.
  • You seek feedback and always search for ways to grow in your professional career.
  • You have built brands and campaigns from a blank page, and you judge them by what they won.
  • You are comfortable in front of clients, presenting your own thinking and defending it.

The Opportunity

An industry leading Toronto team, specializing in office leasing, is actively seeking a Marketing and Growth Associate to own the brand, communications and growth marketing for the team, elevating marketing in Toronto for some of Downtown Toronto’s most iconic office towers. Individual needs to be self-starting and action-oriented while regularly exercising independent judgment and seeing tasks through to completion.

The group runs two practices, investor leasing on behalf of the institutional owners of office towers across Toronto, and tenant representation on behalf of corporate occupiers. You will build the communication, marketing and brand strategy across both, work with senior leaders across the Canadian business community, and own the execution that drives market share growth through leasing results.

These buildings are owned by pension funds, institutional investors and global developers, and you will present your plan and your results to them directly rather than through layers of account management. There is no marketing department above you. You are the function for this team, which means you set the strategy rather than work a request queue inside someone else’s.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute brand, property marketing and social media strategy for team and client projects.
  • Builds the marketing strategy on both sides. On investor leasing, sets it for each tower assignment, presents it to the owner and carries it through to leasing outcomes. On tenant representation, develops the pitch that wins occupier accounts.
  • Owns marketing and growth for the team., a vertical of this business in the same way transaction execution, business development and portfolio leasing are.
  • Uphold social media presence, developing creative and high impact visual and written content.
  • Creates a wide variety of marketing materials that may include maps, advertisements, demographic reports, and brochures for in-house and client presentations
  • Manage electronic campaigns.
  • Responsible for the coordination and execution of brokerage receptions and client events. Organizes the preparation and production of customized, client specific property information packages in response to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Coordinates the internal and external partners behind the work. Internally that includes Emerald Creative, CBRE’s in-house national marketing agency, along with Creative Design Services and the Research Department. Externally it includes third party marketing and advertising partners, event managers, printers, photographers and media vendors.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What We Require
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2-year college required; related University degree preferred.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in marketing, including having owned at least one campaign end to end rather than executing another person’s brief.
  • An ownership mindset. You will lead this function and be accountable for its results. Set the direction, make the decisions, and provide clients or brokers direct and constructive guidance.
  • Experience in the Real Estate industry, agency or consumer product marketing, weighted equally. The sector matters less than what you have built in it.
  • Experience presenting to clients or senior stakeholders, and holding a position when challenged.
  • A demonstrated example of changing a campaign after launch based on a result you were tracking.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working execution of Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical thinker with strong marketing knowledge and web publishing skills.
