About this opportunity

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Finance, the Senior Procurement Specialist supports the effective delivery of procurement activities across CBI Health’s national, multi-site network. This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating competitive procurement processes, supporting strategic sourcing and contract negotiations, managing procurement operations, and strengthening supplier and contract governance.

Working closely with Finance, Clinical Operations, Real Estate & Facilities, IT, Legal, and other business stakeholders, the Senior Procurement Specialist will help deliver cost-effective, compliant, and value-driven procurement outcomes across clinical supplies, equipment, services, and other indirect spend categories.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder-management capabilities and will be comfortable independently managing day-to-day procurement activities while supporting leadership on complex, sensitive, or high-value initiatives.

This is a hybrid position with 1–2 days per week in our Etobicoke office.

Salary range:$90,000–$110,000 per year

What you need to be successful

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • SCMP, CSCMP, CPSM or another recognized procurement or supply-chain designation, completed or in progress
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, category management, or supply chain
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating competitive procurement processes and supporting contract negotiations
  • Experience within healthcare, professional services, clinical supplies, IT, or another geographically distributed, multi-site organization
  • Familiarity with contract law fundamentals and commercial terms
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience preparing clear reports and recommendations
  • Experience using NetSuite, ServiceNow, Power BI, or comparable business systems and reporting tools
  • Working knowledge of procurement governance, supplier management, contract administration, risk mitigation, and internal controls
  • Experience independently managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, judgment, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready procurement records
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights to drive cost savings, operational efficiency, and vendor performance improvements
  • Ability to develop, document, and implement procurement processes, policies, and procedures
  • Strong vendor management skills, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and relationship management
  • Ability to build trust and credibility through professional, solutions-oriented engagement
  • Comfortable operating across both strategic initiatives and hands-on execution
