Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician will provide safe and effective drug distribution services to numerous facilities. This may include gained knowledge in geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health medications as well as developing quick and accurate checking skills to support final checks in compounding, compliance packaging and other prescription requirements.
Your Day To Day
• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Maintain patient and drug information files
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather all necessary information, ensure completeness of information
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
• Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for release
• Complete the final check of prepared prescriptions
Complete monthly audits at our home partner sites
Nurse training with Automated dispensing cabinets
• Other duties as assigned
What You Bring To The Team
• Accreditation as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing and adherence to the Standards of Practice with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
• Experience as a Registered Technician is an asset
• Advanced experience in a Long Term Care pharmacy
• Advanced experience with Kroll
• Advanced experience with Point Click Care
