About the Role:
This role is responsible for planning and developing ATCO Electric’s 25 kV distribution system to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient service for customers. The position focuses on distribution planning and protection, supporting customer connections, and system improvement projects. Responsibilities include conducting system studies, developing protection schemes, issuing equipment settings, and designing and implementing distribution infrastructure projects.

What You Get to Do:
Under general supervision, employees perform various duties within their area of assigned duties.
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Produces, edits, analyzes and models data specific to the team function.
- Prepares and submits reports and/or analysis in an accurate and timely manner for monthly, quarterly, annual and other special reports as required by theteamfunction, department or regulation.
- Gathers data and coordinates schedules for various audits.
- Tests and facilitates field implementation of hardware and software.
- Provides technical support and assistance that are required specific to or outside of the team function or department.
- Participates in project planning meetings and acts as a liaison with internal groups.
- Develops and maintains policies.
What You Bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a post-secondary technology diploma in a related discipline from a recognized Canadian institute of technology.
- May be required to attain registration with A.S.E.T.
- 2 - 5 years of related experience.
