Position Summary 

Under the supervision of the Shop Foreman/Engineering, the Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing and applying high-quality protective coatings and finishes to our products, components, and sub-assemblies.

This role involves painting a diverse range of items, from intricate small components to our massive, world-class heavy equipment. This is a dynamic position suited for a detail-oriented painter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment and takes immense pride in delivering a flawless final product.

Responsibilities 

• Prepare surfaces for painting and powder coating (Masking, Cleaning, Caulking, Sanding, etc.) 
• Remove weld splatter, burrs, or other surface defects prior to coating application.
• Operate industrial spray guns to apply high-quality primers and topcoats according to specifications.
• Operate powder coating equipment
• Perform routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on spray guns, paint booths, and other equipment.
• Following all health and safety policies and procedures. 

Qualifications & Experience 

Education, experience, and skills required 

• Knowledge of safety equipment and the chemicals used in the department. 
• Previous industrial equipment painting / sandblasting experience. 
• Punctual and reliable. 
• Willing and able to work weekends / overtime as required by workload. 
• Willing and able to work in confined spaces. 
• Experience with Air Assisted Spray guns and powder coating is an asset. 
• Ability to work in an environment of changing priorities. 
• Ability to work 43 + hours per week. 
• Bilingual (English & French)
