As we kick off 2025, I wanted to share a quick update on everything happening behind the scenes at MapleStack — and give a warm welcome to all the new users who've joined us over the past few months!
What started as a small project to help friends in tech find jobs has grown into something much bigger — a platform that now serves thousands of job seekers across all industries in Canada.
Let's take a look at what's new and what's coming next.
A New Direction for MapleStack
When I launched MapleStack in late 2023, it was focused primarily on tech jobs. But I quickly realized that the challenges facing job seekers — especially when it comes to finding fresh, relevant, and trustworthy listings — apply to every industry.
So I made a key shift: instead of relying on aggregator feeds, MapleStack now pulls jobs directly from company career pages. No recruiter spam, no expired listings — just real jobs from real Canadian employers.
To date, we've indexed over 40,000 active jobs from 900+ companies, and new roles are added daily.
What's New
Here are some of the recent improvements we've rolled out:
- ✅ Jobs updated daily, sourced directly from verified company websites
- 🔔 Saved job searches and alerts, so you never miss an opportunity
- 📄 Resume-to-job match scoring, helping you focus on roles that are actually a good fit
- ✍️ Tailored cover letters, generated from your resume and the job description — no fluff, just relevance
- 🌱 Clean, distraction-free design that's free to browse and explore
- 🔓 For those who want more, you can unlock advanced search and personalized tools with a simple 30-day access pass — no subscriptions, no surprises
For Employers and Recruiters
We're also making it easier for companies to share their roles with MapleStack's growing audience.
You can now:
- ✅ Submit your careers page to be indexed for free
- ⭐ Promote your job postings with featured placement, sticky listings, or social boosts (starting at $199)
If you're hiring and want to expand your reach, feel free to post a job here or reach out directly.
What's Next?
This is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks, I'll be rolling out:
- Job posting dashboards for recruiters
- Improved filtering and relevance tuning for search
- Analytics for job post impressions and clicks
- Expanded job alerts based on your interests
I'm building this out with real-world use in mind — and I'd love your input as I go.
Thank You
To everyone who has used, shared, or supported MapleStack — thank you. This has been one of the most rewarding projects I've worked on.
