Overview of the role:

The Summer Student, Maintenance will assist with data organization for the upcoming SAP conversion at the Brandon facility. Looking at the preventative maintenance programs and breaking these down to the asset level in addition to assisting with data entry and submission to the SAP team. In addition, the intern will be asked to assist with inventory management duties as assigned by maintenance coordinators.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8-hour days
The Summer Student contract ends August 29th 2025
Salary: $18.05/hour

How you will make contributions that matter:
Assist with data organization for the upcoming SAP conversion at the Brandon facility. Transfer existing outlook files to the SAP data files as requested by project team. Examples include looking at existing PM files and breaking down these files to the asset level.
Data mining of maintenance metrics and assist with the development of the weekly & monthly maintenance stewardship. Example includes pulling data from outlook task filles to understand backlogs, schedule compliance, earned vs actual work efficiencies.
Assist with inventory management duties as assigned by maintenance coordinators. Examples include restocking warehouse shelves with new or refurbished equipment, updating outlook task files to reflect new inventory levels, assist with material receiving process
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a similar discipline relevant. (Second or third year undergrad or first year Master students);
Are active in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community;
Have previous related internship experience (an asset);
Previous experience in food or dairy industry (an asset)
Master Office suite programs and applications;
Experience in an SAP environment (an asset);
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and autonomy;
Have strong time management skills: you will manage priorities and multiple projects at a time all while ensuring to meet deadlines.
