At the Department of Finance and Treasury Board we strive to provide financial leadership, analysis and policies that strengthen Nova Scotia. As stewards of the province’s financial affairs, we deliver a wide range of corporate fiscal and management services – including the preparation of the provincial budget – as well as ensure government plans are coordinated and fiscally responsible.
The Finance and Treasury Board (FTB) requires a student for the summer of 2025. Working closely with the department’s records and information management staff, the student will gain practical experience and knowledge of working in a provincial government records management environment.
Under supervision of the Records Analyst 2, as the summer student your responsibilities will include:
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a records management, archival or library program, and returning to school in the fall. Students enrolled in other post-secondary programs are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, display strong organizational and analytical skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and database programs is required.
Knowledge of online meeting platforms such as MS Teams is also an asset.
This is a Summer Student employment opportunity with anticipated end date of August 29, 2025.
Pay Grade: HOURLY
Salary Range: $15.73 - $29.69 Hourly
