1Records Management:
Perform Records Management activities for the HR division, including review of logs and existing onsite and offsite filing systems, as well as digital and physical filing, in conjunction with retention by laws and legislative requirements to ensure accurate and secure storage of records is maintained
Coordinate the movement, tracking and destruction of offsite records as necessary
Create procedures for HR team and follow guidelines and by laws on retention of HR documents
Organize digital records, develop finding aids for the HR team
Prepares physical records for digitization and organizing of electronic records
Human Resources Administration:
Provides back-up administrative support to the HR Division as required
Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a post-secondary University or College in Records and Information Management, Human Resources or related field.
Superior organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
Basic data entry and record keeping skills
Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently
Problem-solving and ability to adapt to new processes
Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Administrative experience in an office setting doing file management, familiarity with document management and administrative experience in Human Resources in a Municipal environment is an asset.
