SALARY: $ 20.00 per Hour

ROLE: 4-Month Contract, Part-Time

9:00AM -5:00PM, Weekend Availability required

Role Summary:

Introduce visitors to the magic of Columbia Brewery through an energetic and interactive tour of the brewery in a fun and creative manner as well as supplying them with the opportunity to taste our products and purchase a tangible item to take with them.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome and signs-in guests
  • Guide groups of up to 20 people through the Brewery on the designated safety tour route
  • Monitor and track tour attendees
  • Conform to the Brewery Health, Safety, and Environment Policy, as well as HACCP standards, and stressing the importance of safety to the customers
  • Monitor tour route for housekeeping & safety
  • Communicate with employees & department heads when there is a concern in their area
  • Conform to WCB standards
  • Ensure fridge has been stocked and rotated
  • Public speaking including emphasizing our environmental and quality practices
  • Retail sales, including the operation of a POS system
  • Record keeping, inventory tracking, counting incoming inventory & stocking products
  • Month end counts, help monitor and track supplies
  • Serving product samples and monitoring consumption
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and quality service

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age so you can legally handle our products
  • Smart Serve Certification is considered an asset
  • Help maintain ongoing communication
  • Quality standard in housekeeping items
  • Offer information/ideas for Brewery Tour script
  • Assist with bank deposits and deposit spreadsheet, as needed
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills
  • Good communication skills are essential as well as a positive team-focused attitude
  • Must be able to perform with minimal supervision
