The Big Picture
Production Team Members assemble, inspect, label, and/or package medical devices according to the approved manufacturing protocols.
Impact Through Innovation
- Manually assemble parts on an assembly line by following written instructions (protocol)
- Operate equipment as per standard operating procedures
- Operate semi-automatic or other testing equipment to ensure product quality
- Check products at different stages of production using magnifiers or microscope for visual defects
- Identify acceptable and sort defective products
- Collect, record and summarize inspection results
- Assemble boxes using tape and measuring tools
- Label products, document job completion and status
- Wear required PPE and adhere to strict dress code and gowning procedures
- Adhere to and promote the adherence to all Corporate, Quality and Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as required
Your Unique Expertise
Required Skills:
- Secondary school education or equivalent
- Ability to lift 10-20 pounds with regularity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive work
- Good manual dexterity and ability to identify visual defects
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle and manufacture small and delicate parts
- Competency and understanding of the English language (oral, reading and writing skills)
- Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with a team
Asset skills:
- Manufacturing work experience
- Operating mold press or manual soldering experience
