Highway /Roadway Drafting Technologist

Location: Edmonton

AECOM’s Transportation Engineering Group is currently seeking a Highway/Roadway Drafting Technologist to join our team in Edmonton . This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to advance their career with a leading engineering and design firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare CAD base files and drawing packages in compliance with client standards.

  • Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Utilize MicroStation and AutoCAD (InRoads/OpenRoads and Civil 3D considered an asset) to develop drawing packages for roadways, highways, intersections, transit, utilities, and other transportation projects.

  • Assist in preparing quantity estimates

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Technical Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Civil Engineering Technology) + 2 years of experience with Microstation or AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideally 4+ years of experience working with MicroStation or AutoCAD

  • Strong proficiency in MicroStation is preferred. AutoCAD proficiency will also be considered.

  • Experience in drafting for transportation projects, particularly for Alberta Transportation and City of Edmonton projects .

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Active membership with ASET (or eligible for membership) will be considered an asset.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $58,000.00 - $75,000.00.
